deAsra Foundation, in collaboration with Orchid Beauty Skin and Hair Care, organized a Beauty Seminar at the S.M. Joshi Sabhagruha on 14th July 2015. The seminar witnessed an enthusiastic crowd, as the hosts gave them all the information and guidance they needed to run a flourishing Beauty Salon business. With all experts under one roof, the event provided a great platform for beauty business aspirants.
With experts guiding participants on matters related to training, legalities and funding, and vendors like banks (Bhagini Nivedita and Shri Warana Sahakari Bank), Interior Designers (Avant Garde), Cosmetics (Biotrix) and accessories providers present, this was an entire eco-system to help aspiring entrepreneurs in all aspects of the beauty salon business. In addition, live demonstrations of high-end hair and make-up techniques were a great hit with the audience.
Smita Deshpande, of Orchid, recalled her early experiences of starting a beauty salon and went on to give detailed information about beauty courses available in their academy. The concept of deAsra Foundation was briefly explained by Pradnya Godbole (CEO, deAsra) followed by a very informative and engaging address by Mr. Anil Pathak of deAsra as he delved into the intricacies of setting up a beauty salon, the legalities, means of funding and so on. Various success stories were shared as the very effervescent host for the evening, Radhika Ingale, held the crowd’s attention.
