Positively charged to accomplish

“Enthused to know there was somebody who would help him expand his business, Ajay attended deAsra’s seminar and later approached their team to share his future plans with them. DeAsra experts had detailed discussions with this first generation entrepreneur and outlined a roadmap for his future growth.”

His energy is palpable as he talks about his enterprise. His indomitable will to learn has brought him success in a field he knew little about before. Ajay Pawar, who trades in power factor controller equipment and also offers installation services serves as the perfect inspiration to youngsters who dream big.

Business was a closely nurtured dream.

Born and brought up in Sangli, Ajay decided to study Business Management after completing his graduate studies in Commerce. Interestingly enough, while nobody in his family was in business, Ajay had made up his mind very early on to run his own enterprise one day. His decisions to study Commerce, and later on Management, were carefully thought-out steps that would help him move towards this goal.

First job – laying the foundation for the future.

In 2010, Ajay took up a job as a marketing executive in a company dealing in electrical equipment. As a Commerce graduate, he knew nothing about the field. But since he was self-motivated, he worked hard to learn every aspect of the business, in order to set up his own business in this field.  During his tenure at the company and later at another organisation, which again was a planned step to garner relevant experience, Ajay used every minute to learn the ropes of the trade. He networked with people, nurtured clients, imbibed knowledge from his seniors and worked diligently to add value to the company. Later, he parted on very good terms from the employers, so much so, that he succeeded in getting distributorship from his first employer.

In 2013, Elite Electrical Emporium started business in providing power correction equipment to industrial units near Shivane, a suburb of Pune. Ajay now worked doubly hard to shape the new business. He personally visited prospective clients, introduced his services, got orders and executed them. In a short span, he became well established in his business. However, not one to sit on his laurels, Ajay constantly strived to grow his business.
deAsra becomes the conduit for expansion

At around this point in time, he heard about deAsra. Enthused to know there was somebody who would help him expand his business, Ajay attended deAsra’s seminar and later approached their team to share his future plans with them. DeAsra experts had detailed discussions with this first generation entrepreneur and outlined a roadmap for his future growth. They advised him to add electrical accessories that his clients regularly required to his product range. Typically, the industrial units in Shivane had to procure these accessories from suppliers located far away. With Ajay in close proximity and their positive experience with him, they would be more than happy to place their order with him. deAsra’s guidance helped him plan a very focused strategy and he soon purchased space in Shivane, recruited a team and got his cash credit limit augmented from the bank. His joint efforts with deAsra paid off and are already reflecting in increased profitability.

Wired for growth

Today, Ajay is steering a thriving business and is gearing up for his next big leap. A lifelong learner, his passion and efforts have brought him well deserved rewards. His father, who was once anxious because of his decision to get into business, now cannot hide his pride.

On being asked what advice he wished to give the youth to succeed in business, his answer is brief and simple – “You must just have rock solid determination to become an entrepreneur. That itself will give you results.”
